Recording: House Features
In the photos below, I wanted to focus on the features of the park that are not well known or commonly shown/photographed. I was very surprised during my visits to Harewood by how much it had to offer other than the house: its courtyard, bird garden, playground, book shop, ice cream stands and the beauty of the gardens and its surrounding areas.

Luckily I visited Harewood on a sunny day. This meant that I could capture a lens flare in certain images which added to the colours visible in the image. The pink and blue tints added to the happy mood of the photographs which made them more attractive. This makes Harewood a very desirable place to visit. During editing I increased the saturation and temperature of the photographs to further enhance the peaceful, pretty mood of the photographs.

I found the wet feathers of the penguin interesting as they are very clear which is quite unusual. What I found interesting about Harewood was the opportunity to see penguins so close up. This makes it a desirable place to visit because children would enjoy it. My favourite photograph from this slideshow was the first one. I loved the depth of field and range of colour shown in the image. I liked the contrast between darkness and colour creating patterns and texture in the water.

The playground at Harewood makes it desirable as it is full of enjoyment and fun for younger visitors. The photos also shown greenery, benches and shade which adds to the appeal because it portrays Harewood as spacious and relaxing. Capturing children using the playground was beneficial because it shows their excitement and engagement, which again makes Harewood even more appealing to parents/families.
